After another successful season of delivery, USD asked many of their past participants their opinions and suggestions. We are very pleased that 100 participants took part in our 10 question survey. As you know, SportFWD Hockey School is always looking for ways to improve our programs and ultimately meet the needs of the market that we serve. Thank you again. Below is a copy of the survey questions along with the results.
USD operates the SportFWD Hockey and Ringette School, formerly operating as Park Power Hockey School. The Instruction Team have an excellent knowledge of the game and have demonstrated the ability to teach and lead others. Most are certified school teachers. This resource will be used as a model to build sport camps for various sports. It will also serve as a “laboratory” for the development of Coaching programs and Coaches.

ALL OF THE GOALTENDING SESSIONS ARE NOW BEING DELIVERED BY "ABOVE THE CREASE GOALTENDING". THESE SESSIONS INCLUDE SESSION 1, 2, 3, 4 AND 6C. REGISTRATIONS FOR THESE SESSIONS ARE STILL THRU SPORTFWD HOCKEY AND RINGETTE SCHOOL. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT ATC GOALTENDING THEIR WEBSITE LINK IS BELOW.

PHILOSOPHY AND KEY FOCUS
Teaching and developing skills through proper sequencing and progression.
A very high standard of on and off ice discipline is maintained.
Players failing to comply will be dismissed.
PROGRAMS
Goaltending: operate on a rotating station approach.5.5 hrs. ice time, 2 hrs. 45 mins. classroom and 1.5 hrs dryland training.3:1 ratio for goaltending session.
Power Skating & Puck Control: strengthen skating and puck control by improving balance, agility, and acceleration.hockey equipment & sticks are required for these sessions.players need to be able to skate with a reasonable level of proficiency for their age group.
Full Day Hockey Skills: all fundamental skills teaching puck control, passing, shooting, skating, body checking along with offensive and defensive skills and concepts.last day is reserved for a controlled game.two ice sessions, and off-ice activities including, presentations, dryland training, and gym activities per day depending on age group.10:1 ratio for players, 4:1 for goalies.
Prep-Camp: prepare players for evaluations and tryouts.combining power skating, team or partner oriented flow drills and a conditioning segment all into one program.no goaltending instruction is provided for this prep-camp.
Evening RINGETTE Skills: skating, ring possession (lead passing/picking up passes), checking, carrying the ring, scoring goals, shooting, and defensive channeling.
RINGETTE Goalie Prep-Camp: prepare goalies for evaluations and tryouts.operates on a rotating station approach.3:1 ratio for goaltending session.
Registrants are to provide their own hockey equipment. FULL HOCKEY EQUIPMENT is required for ALL SESSIONS.
PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS
Registrants are advised to carry medical and accident insurance. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for any medical expenses that might be incurred.
Parent/guardian signature to the application declares voluntary release of United Sport Development Society (USD) and all staff from all responsibility from any claims, costs or actions as a result of any injury, loss or damage while attending SportFWD Hockey and Ringette School.
SportFWD Hockey and Ringette School reserves the right to use any pictures taken during the school for advertising and/or instructional purposes.
We reserve the right to cancel any session if circumstances warrant with a 100% refund.
